If you can't rip & replace it at the drop of a hat, or if 18-months of support is too slim of a window, or you're at the mercy of a vendor. To be fair, that's exactly what Semi-Annual Channel builds of Windows Server are meant to be used for: "Fast innovation" and "micro-services".
